Rebecca has completed a Bachelor of Health Science in Chinese Medicine, a post-graduate certificate in Dr Manaka’s Japanese Acupuncture Protocols, a certified course in Constitutional Facial Acupuncture, a Bachelor of Visual Communication (Graphic Design) and is currently undertaking her training in Toyohari East Asian Needle Therapy under the Australasian branch of the Toyohari Association. She is also an Ashtanga Yoga Practitioner with over 7 years of dedicated practice.
Rebecca discovered acupuncture whilst living in Oslo, Norway. She needed help with health issues arising from constant computer work and long, stressful hours working as a Graphic Designer. She was so impressed with the changes in her health and well-being that she was inspired to change career paths and went on to become an accomplished Chinese Medicine practitioner.
Through observations with various practitioners, Rebecca arrived at the more gentler styles of Japanese acupuncture. Her training in Manaka and Toyohari give her deep insight into her treatments and allow her non-insertive acupuncture techniques to obtain extremely effective results. Rebecca finds that this approach to treatment is particularly well suited to treating children, something she is passionate about. Being a mother of two, she understands the gentle techniques required with children and that trust is the first stepping stone.
Rebecca has a considered, instinctual and flexible treatment style. Her deep understanding of Qi allows her to create a healing harmony within in the body by balancing Qi, Blood, Yin, Yang and the Five Phases. Rebecca often combines acupuncture or non-insertive meridian therapy with ancillary techniques such as moxibustion, cupping and massage. These treatments are well suited to people suffering from chronic disease or who are are sensitive to energetic treatments.
Rebecca also offers Constitutional Cosmetic Acupuncture treatments. Her gentle technique is well suited to this beautiful treatment which includes constitutional (body) acupuncture, facial acupuncture and a full facial. For more information click here.
